About Us

Hello world, my name is Eric Adams.

 

Adams LeatherWorks began in 2009 in the corner of our garage in Providence Village, TX. With two young children in childcare and another baby on the way, we wanted to find a way for my wife, Kimberly, to stay home and raise our three children. Little did we know at the time that our new baby would have severe food intolerances. We had no idea what foods he could safely eat without sending his body into shock. Having Kimberly at home with the kiddos was all that much more important.

 

I've always enjoyed making stuff with my hands, so I narrowed it down to two passions of mine - Grilling & Guns. Welding wasn't really an option at the time, so I borrowed my sister-in-law's old Tandy Leather starter kit and tried my hand at leather crafting. It wasn't long before I was making holsters for myself, and then eventually for others.

A decade later, my children are slowly helping more and more with various duties out in the shop, and my wife handles all of our shipping tasks. My youngest (with the food allergies) can basically eat whatever he wants now, with the food allergies almost completely behind him.
